Born in 1916 Cal started racing the year Buddy Jacobson was born (1930) He was a Steward!  He was active with NYRA and the Executive Director of The Jockey Club.  He worked in NY, Florida and Delaware, eventually retiring in AZ.  Calvin had different political views than Buddy and there is a slight antagonistic element with concern to their relationship.
