September 8, 2025. Went to Ocean Manor Resort to watch the MN Vikings game. Season opener. Not only did we eke out a win, I met a casino boss from Atlantic City, NJ and we enjoyed cigars and will be in touch....
September 7, 2025. Cousin Jeffrey finally got back to me and I think I now have the preliminary go ahead to film at Meadowlands when the time comes. Buddy Jacobson is now on the cover of SOUTH FLORIDA magazine.....

September 1, 2025.
Monday Labor Day I relaxed all day and in the evening I followed up from a text I received from Manhattan Socialite and Newscaster Mr. Ken Evseroff. It just so happens that Ken and I got along on the phone and he is the son of Buddy Jacobson's attorney Mr. Jack Evseroff. I agreed to him being cast as his father in the movie! He also shared some very unique information with me which I will never divulge!
10:30PM: Jeff Moss (Rockefeller) was in town and texted me. We went to Ocean Manor tiki bar and had two glasses of Macallan 18 and some great sticks. He owns a tobacco farm and factory in the Dominican Republic. Jeff is also a movie producer and shared great information with me. We share 1000 points of synchronicity; some of which might be shared on a later date or even on the silver screen itself in 2028.
Sunday morning I slept in late, checked out at noon and then went to Steve's Sizzlin Steaks just a few miles away. Very cool spot, founded in 1936 and referred to me by a friend, race horse owner: Gary Bonacci.
3PM: Went to Cigar Emporium in Lyndhurst, NJ. Relaxed there for awhile then went to the famed "Pizza Land" joint just a few miles away. I took some photos and met some cool people at Pizza Land. People travel from all over the world to go there as its the place which is perhaps the most prominent on the intro to the show Soprano's!
6PM: Went to a Jazz Lounge in NYC near LaGuardia yet the ride there was longer than expected so I left and went to the airpot. The flight was delayed. Ended up in seat 1A, I'm glad Spirit at least has the big front seats. Arrived in FTL about 2am.
August 30, 2025.
Early Morning: I arrived at LaGuardia and took a yellow cab to Nicola Benfarimo's Italian lemon ice joint in Queens. I had an Italian ice and chatted with some nice folks.
11AM: From there I took an Uber to Buddy Jacobson's old building and Nicola's on the Upper East Side. East 84th Street. I got to meet the Super of the building and he shared the owners contact details with me. I might rent an apartment in the building around February 2026 just for 2 or 3 months to get to know the vibe of the area! I also got to meet the owner of the restaurant on the first Floor who happened to have hair similar to Buddy Jacobson's hair in 1975. In addition I bonded with the Chinaman who owns the dry cleaners on the first floor. We chatted about how its possible that the dry cleaner space was part of "My Fair Lady" modeling agency in the 70s. Also on August 30, I received a text message from Melanie Cain who stated she called and left a voicemal for my mother. I felt it would be a mitzvah to connect those two gurls after 40 years!
NOON: After leaving 8th Street I spent a good amount of time walking around the area. I went to Madison Ave and discovered "Mark the Caviar Bar" aka Caviar Kaspia inside the Mark Hotel building. I sat inside in the vip bar area and had their salmon platter brunch and two amazing Japanese beers. The all female bar staff there are impressive! Salt of the earth bartenders yet knowledgeable on caviar, the local celebrities and small talk as well.
2PM: After the caviar bar I went to Little Italy on Mulberry Street. I was donning Italian style clothing, black shirt, huge red cornicello, gold chains and pinky ring. One of the Italian kids on the street came up to me and told me that I am a billionaire and asked me what I have in my Zero-Halliburton aluminum briefcase; I told him: A BILLION DOLLARS! I set the case on a nearby table and whipped out a copy of my book: "How to Perform Like a Billionaire" and gave it to him!
3PM: From Little Italy NYC I took a Lyft to my hotel in East Rutherford, NJ near Meadowlands. Slept from 4:30 till about 7:30pm.
8PM: I went to Meadowlands hoping I might find my DNA cousin Jeffrey who happens to be the owner. I bet my birthday numbers on some horses and ended up winning! The black lady at the ticket booth was extremely helpful in teaching me about horse betting and how it works. Then I mosied on over to "Trotters Club" which is the VIP area for serious horseman and their friends and family. At Trotter's club I passed out several business cards and spoke with some old timers. One of them told me about the management office and to walk over there to see if Jeff is around. I walked and just before the hallway to the facility management office was a bar and at the bar was a lady who was a Meadowlands employee. I told her a short version of my story and she was glad to help. She went to the office and came back with Mr. Jason Settlemoir. Jason was also very helpful! Jeff just happened to be elsewhere! If me meeting my billionaire cousin will ever happen it will happen at a point in time when he sees the synchronicities and the philanthropic portion of this great endevour I am undertaking. The way I look at is is that he has helped me enough already via the June 12th miracle!
1AM: After having a pretty decent time at Meadowlands I took a rideshare to Rockafella's Sports bar which happens to be in an old Freemasonry building and the symbol is still up near the end gable! The joint is open till 3am. I met an awesome bartender lady, I think she was Dominican. I also met a businessman named Mark, we exchanged business cards and had a beer or two.
Since June 12 of this year, major synchronicities have collided into my life almost daily. I created this synchronicity page to record these small miracles, share them with future movie fans, and demonstrate that the success of this $200 million negative-cost film—and its $5 billion box office—is pure destiny.
When I get a free moment I will update this page with the happenstances which have occured since June 12, 2025!
August 2025 Synchronicities
August 28, 2025 - Jay attended the birthday party of a friend at DeLuca's Chophouse. This particular friend was a lady who Jay has known for about 12 years. He gave her his new business card which shows Jodie Foster, Telly Savalas, Buddy Jacobson and Sonny Franzese as characters in the movie. It turns out that his friend Charlotte dated Sonny in the 1970's and showed him several pictures of them together back in the day! Sonny was connectected to Buddy and horse trainer Robert who through happen stance caused Jay to produce this movie; as well as his friend Michael Umile who is cousins with Sonny. Another little coincidence is that Franzese Jr (Michael) attended one of Jay's Luxury networking events in Lighthouse Point, FL perhaps around 2009 or 2010.
August 27, 2025 - Letter to Taki Theodoracopulos after searching for a Donald Trump article; happenstance would have it that I encountered Taki's article. Taki was in the Buddy Jacobson scene at Nicola's and like myself he is also founder of a conservative magazine "The American Conservative"
Dear Mr. Theodoracopulos,
My name is Jay Shapiro, son of Dawn Eve, who once shared an East 84th Street flat with Melanie Cain. Though I never lived in New York, its echoes have always hovered in my family’s story. August 3, 2025 - Jay: I had a short dream in which I was talking to Rick Rubin about "Buddy Jacobson The Movie" In the dream we were talking in person, perhaps at his office. Its uncanny as I've never met him and I knew very little about him apart from the fact that he writes songs. I now know that he is the best of the best and I will hire nothing but the best talent for every single aspect of this production. I will be reaching out to him soon about soundtrack production for the movie! After the fact, later in August I found out that he did production work for a band called "Band of Horses" and there was even a Standardbred race horse named after him!
July 2025 Synchronicities
JULY 26, 2025 - BUDDY’S FRIEND / BOOK SIGNING / THREE ROBERTS Jay’s book had been published for a few weeks and he decided to do a book signing at one of his favorite Italian restaurants, Matteo’s Trattoria in Hallandale Beach. Jay was standing at the bar signing a book for a patron named Robert when all of a sudden a man who looks just like Robert De Niro (De Niro was a former Buddy connection via Scorsese) walks up to Jay after overhearing him talk about horses and buddy Jacobson. The man’s name was actually Robert. They chatted for a few minutes and Bob said to Jay: Let me introduce you to somebody. Jay and Robert walk down the bar about 3 bar stools away and Robert introduced Jay to Robert! Turns out Robert is a highly successful race horse owner who happened to be very good friends with Howard Buddy Jacobson! Robert showed Jay many photos of him with Buddy, some of them in black and white. He was absolutely shocked that Jay knew about Buddy Jacobson from the 1970’s. (Jay is only 53) Robert was to fly to Saratoga the very next day. Synchronicity Summary: Robert to Robert to Robert introductions lead to a chance happening. Meeting Buddy’s close friend! To top this off, Robert recently attended the funeral of Sonny Franzese. Sonny was a well-respected man in NY. Sonny’s son happened to have attended one of Jay’s Lighthouse Point charity events many years prior. And Sonny was cousins to one of Jay’s good acquaintances
June 12 till July 1st Synchronicities
June 12, 2025 - the Day when Jay's Life Changed Forever and Synchonicities Started Happening Every Day, sometimes Many times per day:
BILLIONAIRE BOOK / BILLIONAIRE COUSIN. Out of curiosity Jay decided to do a maternal DNA test in the spring of 2025. A few weeks prior to receiving the maternal DNA results he started to work on writing his book: PERFORM LAB – “How to Perform Like a Billionaire” On June 12, 2025 the DNA results arrived. Jay googled the names of several of his cousins. Jay was delighted to find that he had a late great Chabad Rabbi as a cousin as well as dozens of German-Jewish cousins most of whom are or were multimillionaires. He googled the name of an exact match cousin: “Jeffrey Gural” He found out that Gural is perhaps the largest billionaire in NY. A man who happened to own all of the race track casinos in NY, his family built knickerbocker village, his firm has bought and sold a huge percentage of the skyscrapers in NYC and philanthropy is one of the cornerstones of Gural’s business strategy. Synchronicity Summary: During the covid era Jay stated writing his book about billionaires and their success strategies. He wrote a few pages and then ignored the book for a couple years. In late May and into June of 2025 he started writing the book again. On June 12 he finds out that his relative is perhaps the largest billionaire in NY at the same time he is writing a success book about billionaires.
BILLIONAIRE COUSIN / BUDDY JACOBSON. After finding out Jay happens to have billionaire blood he decided to find Mr. Gural’s official corporate website to learn more. The site for GNP Real Estate™ had a very impressive company timeline starting in the 1950’s. When Jay landed on the 1970’s page he could not believe his eyes. Buddy Jacobson was Gural’s business partner!!! Synchronicity Summary: Jay and his mother are not even from NY, they are from northern Minnesota yet by chance, very oddly it happens to be fact that his mother’s modeling manager happened to be a close business associate with his newfound cousin Mr. Gural who happens to be the most powerful horse racing magnate in the world.
